  • "The one-to-one nature and collaborative approach resonated strongly with the team who have taken the lessons to heart to produce better programming. Looking forward to introducing more of the team to his training."

John Johnston, Head of Audio and Video - Europe, FT Specialist (Financial Times)

  • "Working with James has been like working with ten people in a London agency - that's how good he is. James trained me on how to present and host, and has coached me with real expertise and warmth on everything from my presentation style to how to get the best quality audio while recording remotely. He makes guests feel completely at ease, and coaches wonderful, thoughtful interviews with intelligent guests on a range of subjects. He's an exceptional creator and creative partner, and I've learned so much from him."

Claire Coady, Founder, The Attention Practice

  • "James is the best kind of journalist - as an editor, he is inspirational, innovative and willing to take risks to get the best coverage; as a broadcaster, he is quick to get the full picture, and clear in putting that over to an audience."

—Roger Hearing, Radio and TV Presenter, Media Consultant

  • "James is a brilliant producer. A ‘rabbit out of the hat’ problem solver with a head full of knowledge and a world of experience at his fingertips. And an all round good egg!"

—Nick Garnett, Award-winning Journalist & BBC Documentary Maker, Director at MediaMouth

  • "James is a brilliant manager and mentor. His ability to stay cool under pressure during live radio shows was always particularly impressive.... (he is) somebody with real integrity and genuine enthusiasm."

—Isabel Woodford, writer, producer and journalist
